Cohen and I took a quick walk around the yard this morning to see what has opened.
The plants are on on slow growth mode since there is no warm sunshine beckoning them up and out. It has been gray, cloudy or raining most days and very cool at night so the flowers are loath to show their faces.
The blue berries have a few blooms tho not as many as last year. As I remember I had to cover the trees for several nights because of frost last year but the days were
sunny and warm.

As you can see in the back ground of this picture this wild rose has plenty of unopened buds. These two little flowers are the only ones opened on this large bush now though.
The iris have been the most prolific bloomers this year.

Poor lilac has very few blooms. I am afraid she needs medical and surgical intervention. I pulled quiet a few dead branches last fall thinking that would help her,
if nothing else give her breathing room and not sap her strength this spring. She actually looks kinda' pitiful with empty spots and still some dead branches.
Cohen is showing me how fast, and how far, he can run.
Run Cohen, run!
This is a close up of the shrubs on either side of the driveway. I don't know what they are. I happened on to their name somewhere last year and said , "Oh, I've got to remember this.", of course I've forgotten the name and where I saw it.
And, last is Daisy with her nose down in a hole she has dug into a mole's tunnel. What great fun for her, but, alas, Margaret will not like her yard full of holes the perfect size for twisting ankles in. Come, Daisy, time to go in.
