Lost Memory Card

I'm afraid there will not be any photos to post until I find the memory card for my camera.  I believe I vacuumed it up yesterday.  After putting pictures on the blog I put the card on my night stand.  I know, I know...I should have put it right back in it's house....any way, I must have brushed it to the floor without realizing it.  I do have another camera that I don't have much luck using, but  I will try as I can't stand not being able to take pictures.

I apologize for taking so long to place the Greensboro Fire Academy's 61st Class Graduation on my blog. My tardy posting does not reflect my pride in Vincent's, and all the other firefighters, accomplishment.
Let me take this time to mention my pride in all of my children's accomplishments and virtues. I will not name them all (children or virtues),needles to say, they have all become people the world is better for having, for they are good, productive, hard working, bright people who have put their talents into action. And...I am glad they were born!!!

A Christmas Present

My grandniece, Jo, made this beautiful hankie for me.  Margaret is teaching her needlework and how to sew.  Both she and her twin sister, Tessa,  are quick studies and Margaret is very excited to have some young ones to teach and to share her passion with.  I just love the gift because you can tell she gave it thought,  she could not have picked a better subject for her Aunt Mary's gift.  She did a wonderful job of it too!  She is well on her way to developing a life long talent that will bring her much joy.  Good for you, Johonna!
 Thank you!  PC280085

My babies welcome me home from my visit with the children over the holiday.

Christmas Morning

Vincent is busy snapping pictures of the children as they open their presents.  I’m on the opposite side of the room doing the same.  Sophia seems to be pleased most of all with her little plastic lips that contain  lip gloss.  She goes around the room putting gloss on everyone's lips.  Daddy has to submit to the lip treatment too.

Christmas Rose

I took this picture while I was in Denver, CO., this past summer. I knew it would be the perfect Christmas picture to share.  My ambition was to use it on my Christmas cards.  Alas, the cards were never made.   So,  here is The Rose  along with my heart felt wishes for a Very Merry Christmas!

Happiness is.......

Working on Holiday Projects

Sophia has been putting in long hours in order to prepare the house for Christmas.  I think she has done a wonderful job on her artistic creations,  we want to share them with you here.  Enjoy!
PC150016Sophia uses glitter and glue to do her abstract work.  She told me she had to have her tongue out of her mouth in order to paint.  She was glad to oblidge when I asked for her photograph.
I might need to try that tongue stuff as Sophia’s  art is much more aesthetic than mine!
The deer are made from templates of her hands and feet.  Diamonds are used for the eyes and a ruby for the nose.

Cohen is more interested in exploring than anything else.

I am sure this boy is going to go on to discover great things....not now, and surely not in my knitting bag, but someday!

CONGRADULATIONS SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Picasa

Vincent graduates from the Fire Academy tomorrow. There is a 10:00 AM graduation ceremony. I will miss it because of illness, which is enough to make me ill itself! I have been looking for this day to arrive about as much as Vincent and Toni. Marian and Anna, Mauro and Wendy should be there though. I am hoping for a miracle cure so I can spring up tomorrow morning and go.

Where's the Line to See Jesus ( This was sent to me by Guy and I'm sharing it here. )

Margaret’s wonderful hand made gifts.

Miss. Kitty here had her face added today and received a beautiful rosette for her hair.
Margaret has been more than a little busy in her sewing room this month.  She has been dead to the world and sat at her sewing for hours.  These pictures show a sampling of her handy work.
These are plastic bag holders. They really are fun and handy to have.
Margret chooses wonderful material for each animal. It brings each critter to life and assures they needn’t be hung in the closet out of sight.
