The BIG SNOW!

SNOW

It started snowing in the early evening yesterday and continued on through the night.  The wind actually howled as it swept around the house and entered by force as it whipped into every windowpane's seam and door jam.  I could even feel the chill around the light switches on the out side walls! There is a message here folks...maybe something about needing more insulation...."Ya' thank?"

My First Hat

Actually, this is the first hat I have made. It is crocheted and felted. I made it for my sister, Anne. She doen't know it yet. I think she will like it. It is a little large for me , but, as she said to me, " I have a big head." So this should fit her fine. All I need to do now is decide if it needs a ribbon or a flower or something to dress it up.

This yellow bag is my first attempt at knitting and felting. It is pretty lop-sided, but, it did turn out better than I expected. I can't begin to count how many times I had to pull out stitches and begin again. I guess an experienced knitter could have made 50 purses in the time it took me to do this.

MORE RAIN!

If it doesn't get colder soon we'll have no white Christmas, we'll have to ask Santa for an ark!
