This is a window into the world in which I live. It is more often than not filled with the bright and beautiful; sometimes blanketed with rain and shadow. In either case, I will share what I am able to share with you in the hope of widening your world even if only by the tiniest bit. Thank you for visiting and do leave a comment to brighten and widen my world too.

A short walk
Emma snuck out of our fenced yard to follow me to the pond. As I walked the pond's perimeter she made her presence known by following behind me and barking every
few moments, turning and walking back down the path a few steps, and looking back to see if I were obeying and starting to follow her.. I finally gave up on my stroll, put my binoculars and camera back into their pouch and obediently began to head for home. She did not stop her calling and checking until we had reached the paving stones at the side of the road. There would be no bird watching today.

Cohen takes time to smell the flowers.
The blackberry vines are looking great and should give us enough berries for some nice cobblers.
He'll just move the hose closer to the Day Lillies in case they need to be watered soon.

Another walk with Sophia and Cohen
Oct 21, 2010
We didn't get out for our walk but twice this week.
The weather was too cold and damp and or the children were down for naps early and slept until Mommy was home.

The Wonders of Fall
This bright red tree is at the bottom of an incline and on the edge of a small pond. I wasn't able to get out of my car to take a picture that would capture the whole scene. I thought it pretty enough to take a photo of what I could though.
Sophia finds so many great things on our walks, we will keep some and photograph the rest. We are going to keep a journal about our adventures.
I don't know why I didn't make any pictures of Cohen while we were out. He was enjoying the walk too. I'll get some of him tomorrow....I know you can't wait!

Afternoon Stroll
Cyrus and I went out for a short walk this afternoon. I have wanted to see if he would ride in or on the stroller. He actually did rather well standing on the the stroller's canopy. On the driveways smooth surface he did well, but, as the ride became bumpy on the black top he became nervous and wasn't too pleased. We managed go a pretty good distance before heading back home. He was anxious to get back on my arm. We'll see if he will allow me to take him on the stroller again.
