Fall is in the air

The dogwoods are changing into their Autumn attire.

A lone Black Eyed Susan stands at a steps edge.

The last of the Zinnias are blooming.

And, the pool is closed for the winter.
We can comfortably wear our blue jeans and still be fashionably correct in our open toed Princess Shoes.  ( As long as they are not white ! )

And, get away with wearing long sleeves and shorts.

I seem to be looking up more lately.  Or maybe it is just that I can go outside during the day for the first time in 50 years!  Pathology departments are always in the darkest corner of any building they are located in.  If you want to see the world a laboratory is not the place to be....unless you want to peer down into little worlds....

Unoccupied houses look so forlorn....

Sylvia naps in the tall weeds.

Cyrus sure got a big laugh out of something here, didn't he!
Cy takes me into his confidence......and I'll never tell!

The Wonders of Fall

This bright red tree is at the bottom of an incline and on the edge of a small pond.  I wasn't able to get out of my car to take a picture that would capture the whole scene.  I thought it pretty enough to take a photo of what I could though.
Maple leaf on wet sidewalk.

A chipmunk hole.....

Sophia finds so many great things on our walks, we will keep some and photograph the rest.  We are going to keep a journal about our adventures.
I don't know why I didn't make any pictures of Cohen while we were out.  He was enjoying the walk too.  I'll get some of him tomorrow....I know you can't wait!
