Banjo Wins!

And my baby, Cyrus, looking for some time with me as I wander around the house taking pictures for this post. ( Of course, he is here with me now.)

Margaret returned from a trip to Knoxville which she and Banjo had made with several of her dog friends.  Well, actually, Banjo with his dog friends and Margaret with her people friends.   They all went down together for an AKC show and all of the dogs won ribbons!  I don't understand all of the stuff but they were all pleased and I know Banjo did very well as he is just beginning his career on the show circuits.  So..I thought I would share a picture or two of Banjo and some of the rest of the family.

This year's show of Fall Color has been a very poor one indeed.  I thought a cold snap  would shock the trees into their colorful dress, but it has not been so. 

I have not taken a drive up The Parkway (Blue Ridge) and so do not know if  there was a

colorful display there or not.  But here in the foot hills the trees have been confused. 

They

 just aren't sure what to do.  There are patches of gold, red and green but no dazzling  trees awash with one color or another.    In fact, there will be a patchwork of color on an individual leaf and these will be in a small clusters on one side of the tree while the other side has brown leaves which are amputated by the slightest breeze.

No matter.  Beauty is beauty, be it vibrant color or dull brown.

Kitty Foo and ME

Foo Kitty comes with me when I visit Anna and Trey.   We have been visiting with them since Sunday and will be heading home tomorrow.  Anna took these pictures of us a few minutes ago as we were relaxing together in the living room.   Foo was watching Anna as she watched TV.  Foo was Trey's cat before I started taking care of him so he is as at home here as he is with me at  Margaret's.
