Toni is working her Christmas Eve magic and creating some very pretty Christmas packages for under the tree.

                           And Santa is sporting some pretty fancy deer this year.
(It is a little hard to see but these deer are painted to look like spotted cows.  They are displayed in the front yard at a dairy farm near our home.)  How cute is that!

Season's Greetings!

I've been away too long and I've missed all of you.  I have once again been in bed for an extended period and have not been able to do much of anything.  But I want to pull myself up enough to send Christmas greetings to everyone and try to share in some of the excitement of the season.  It is my sincere wish that each and everyone have the blessings of this season and that you are able to share in the love and company of your family and friends.  

A Christmas Present

 My grandniece, Jo, made this beautiful hankie for me.  Margaret is teaching her needlework and how to sew.  Both she and her twin sister, Tessa,  are quick studies and Margaret is very excited to have some young ones to teach and to share her passion with.  I just love the gift because you can tell she gave it thought,  she could not have picked a better subject for her Aunt Mary's gift.  She did a wonderful job of it too!  She is well on her way to developing a life long talent that will bring her much joy.  Good for you, Johonna!

Working on Holiday Projects

Sophia has been putting in long hours in order to prepare the house for Christmas.  I think she has done a wonderful job on her artistic creations,  we want to share them with you here.  Enjoy! 


Sophia uses glitter and glue to do her abstract work.  She told me she had to have her tongue out of her mouth in order to paint.  She was glad to oblidge when I asked for her photograph.

I might need to try that tongue stuff as Sophia’s  art is much more aesthetic than mine!

The deer are made from templates of her hands and feet.  Diamonds are used for the eyes and a ruby for the nose. 

Cohen is more interested in exploring than anything else.

I am sure this boy is going to go on to discover great things....not now, and surely not in my knitting bag, but someday!
