Watching Me Watching You

These little guys look awfully cute from a distance,  I sure wouldn't want to be on the other side of the wire with them though. I heard them whispering when they saw me.  I know they were saying how much they'd love for me to  come just a little closer. But my Momma didn't raise no fool!  With those horns and my rather large target I am sure I would not fair at all well.  I used the camera's zoom lense for the shots.

 I've been wanting to make a few pictures of these goats sunning on the rocks for a very long time.  Finally all the stars aligned and I was able to drive by their field and catch them  " a sunning in the sun ".  I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I did.

Margaret has a new toy!

Ta-Dah !

 Margaret found a camper for sale on Craig's List...it is no longer listed for sale.  It is now parked in the yard and Jim has already started on its inspection and repairs.  So far everything is working well.  There is a small leak in a water pipe but nothing major. Jim is going to fix that and check the heating system tomorrow.  There are no roof or body leaks and the air conditioner works well.  All but the refrig. is original to the camper.  It looks like Margaret made a good deal on a solid older vintage camper. 

 I say it is Margaret's as she bought it, but it is really her dogs.  She got it to take to dog shows when she and the twins go.  This way they'll have everything together and not have to load and unload the car.   They can stay in the show parking area and keep company with her friends that stay in their campers. 

 The kitchen area has a double stainless steel sink, a nice 4 burner gas stove with oven and a new refrigerator.

 It has a nice size shower with a 'deep' short tube.

 The only hitch is...

It may be the dogs will have to fight for the camper when they want to take a trip !

These apologizing politicians, generals, and whining civilians need a time out. They, along with the " buddy " that  " leaked " the pictures  seen below, need to be sent into Afghanistan, or any warring Middle Eastern country of choice, handed an army shovel and sent on an IED/ land mine search.  While scratching in the sand they may want to keep an eye out for some poor pitiful suicide bomber as he may need batteries, wire, plastic explosives, nails, or a new backpack, I'm sure they would drop the shovel to help them out. Toward evening, these keepers of the peace, God love 'em, can go about town as ambassadors of goodwill and greet each and every local, maybe offer them a big hug if they need one, a personal apology for being ' in country ' and some money for a meal.   As for me, I'll be here in the good ole,  US of A,  kicked back, keeping the peace, watching the grass grow,  smiling.   That is until I'm blown up by the people these  whining idiots are cowing down to and in league with.

                          I'd say these soldiers have good reason to smile.

This is war not a tea party. 

The dead are suicide bombers that killed themselves.

The guys are smiling because it was not them or their buddy blown to bits. 

                                                       

When insurgents are in the street in front of your house do you want our  soldiers there grinning over them or do you want the enemy there grinning over you?

  It will be one or the other.

A Sunny Easter Monday

Sunny Day Fun

The children and I did a little exploring around the yard yesterday.

Stomping in the empty trailer made some most interesting sounds.

We found the blueberry bushes had already lost their blossoms and were working hard on producing some blueberries.
Sophia made sure Cohen knew this was her lamb lawn ornament.

We found a few of the iris blooming
and the lilac bushes flowering.  What heavenly scents we enjoyed.
  We had a shower of hail a few days ago which knocked off all of the crab apple's flowers, and the Forsythia's too.  So it was nice to see the little apple trees in the side yard flowering.

We were all ready for our lunch and a nap when it was time to go in.
