I found this book while I was out yesterday.
It is filled with great ideas suitable for any project
in card making and scrap booking. Since my daughters
are into card making and stamping I had to buy them
a copy too. I may go back to the store and buy
several more as gifts for friends! First I MUST
mail one to my daughter that lives away or she'll
not see the book for a LONG time!
This is a window into the world in which I live. It is more often than not filled with the bright and beautiful; sometimes blanketed with rain and shadow. In either case, I will share what I am able to share with you in the hope of widening your world even if only by the tiniest bit. Thank you for visiting and do leave a comment to brighten and widen my world too.

Blue Heron
I made them from inside the car when I was driving by.**I did pull over and stop the car before taking the pictures****
This last picture can really fool you. The tree trunks in the picture are actually the reflection of the trees growing just beyond the pond's bank. The trees themselves are not pictured. The pond;s surface is clean near the bank, but, covered in pollen on the more open surface where the breeze has also deposited leaves and debris. The green undergrowth in the very top of the photo is the 'real' bank.

Finally I have a camera again!
My camera has been broken for several weeks (I am afraid I murdered it!) and I have sorely missed it! I ordered another one to replace it and have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival. It was in today's mail. These are the first pictures I was able to make with it.
A few garden guests.
The camera is a simple Olympus Stylus-7010, the same brand I had before.

TOO LOUD!
These pictures of Sophia were made while we were in Florida for Christopher's wedding.
On July 4th, Sophia, Cohen and I stayed home while the rest of the household went to see the fireworks display over the water in St. Augustine. At dusk the bangs from a few fire works could be heard from the neighboring houses and a few rockets and colorful displays could be seen overhead. These frightened Sophia to no end. For the whole evening she kept her ears plugged with her fingers as she sat on the bed with me or I carried her around the house. ( She would have no part of going out onto the upper deck to watch the fireworks over the housetops.) When we went to bed she still had her fingers in her ears and finally went to sleep with her ears still protected form the loud, frightening sounds of the fireworks!

Little Cohen would stir with the loud sounds, but, did manage to sleep though most of the bangs and whistles of the fireworks and rockets bursting overhead.
